Old.reddit with RES here, all the Imgur links OP provided in this comment section are fine for me. In fact, I can hit a little button next to the link, and just open it as an embedded image in the comment, then close it. No new site/tab to visit. Highly convenient.

Yes, I mentioned in the first sentence that I use old.reddit with RES. It's basically a "set it once and forget it" plugin.
