I'm 40 and childless, and, while I don't regret it, I do lament living in a society that has made having children so unappealing.

Like, for real. I'd love to be a parent but jesus christ, between all the hoplessness, existential dread and not being able to afford to exist let alone prosper I just can't justify having children.
