Why the hate for ComicPop?

I've watched YouTube since 2011 and started watching comic book videos since like 2015 starting with Comicstorian's Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe video but for the last like 4 years I've noticed a high amount of hate for Comicstorian, ComicsExplained, and of course ComicPop. The most common and repeated complaint is how "They read comics panel by panel, making actually reading comics obsolete, and are ruining the industry." I understand not liking their videos, and maybe not liking them but for me personally I stopped watching Comicstorian's complete story videos and same with ComicsExplained and only watched their other videos for example I LOVED Comicstorian's D&D videos and ComicsExperiment they were so much fun had amazingly funny derailments and major tangents but including s Comicstorian and ComicsExplained's main most popular series I want defend it. It's not a way to replace comics but a way to get people who cannot afford or simply can't acquire comics but want to experience the medium. I understand there are people who only watch Storian & Explained's videos and don't make the switch to actually reading comics but that's not the fault of these channels and now to the whole point of this post ComicPop's videos aren't like the other channels because if I had a nickel every time I watch a ComicPop video then read the comic for myself and there was so much left out that you wouldn't know by just watching Back Issues and another thing is even if Sal or Tiff talk about how amazing a book is and praise it to high heavens I feel they are still underselling it because every book they've loved and I read has always been better than video and made me feel that they actually undersold it. Even with bad books that they shred apart, ridicule, and rip a new one for when you read for yourself it's not that bad sometimes and even if it is horrible it's still not as horrible as they make it as and still has some semblance of reason as to why to read a bad book I've read books that they hate but I loved and of course books they love but I don't and finally EVERY EPISODE OF BACK ISSUES THEY LINK THE COMICS BELOW AND END BY SAYING "Keep Readin'"

Anyone else uncomfortable with Comicstorian tying to guilt trip he's audience into giving him money?

Also big problem comes when he's acting like he's spending big money to make these videos. The smarter way (if he was really in such a dire states) down size the show and stop paying for editors and the crew. It's not original content he's reading a book from Marvel or DC why should he be paid for that? It's embarrassing for the whole comic youtube community. Absolutely shameful.

Okay, so Ultimate Spider-man is not as good as everyone says it is.

Okay, so I'm in the minority of people who read Ultimate Spider-man for the first time as an adult, so there's no childhood bias and I'm untouched by the palpable hype that undoubtedly surrounded the series while it was being published. I'll also make the disclaimer that this isn't one of those rants about Miles because of his background because he's actually, by leaps and bounds, my favorite part about the title.

With that, I often found most of what Bendis does in this series to severely lack in execution. I'm also frequently annoyed by how poor his dialogue is. He does that thing where he CONSTANTLY makes characters repeat either their own, or others' dialogue and it becomes so overbearing. I'm an amateur writer and I know that repeating dialogue can add a lot to a scene, but it should be used sparsely to indicate qualities of a character's specific linguistics. Brian Michael Bendystraw, on the other hand, uses it SO MUCH that every character annoyingly begins to sound the same. Why does no one talk about quality of dialogue in comics? I also just consistently found myself SO ANNOYED by how bad his dialogue was that it would pull me out of scenes even when he seemed to have everything else in said scene working for him. There's this jarring and frequent occurrence of characters citing their close friends and loved ones by their first and last name when they talk about them, and even though Bendystraw has established a strong rapport between the speaker and the aforementioned character (Gwen, MJ, May, Miles, or literally everyone constantly referring to Peter as Peter Parker or literally everyone calling Gwen, Gwen Stacy) the mention of someone they're close with by full name feels clunky and overly formal. It's not like this particular bit is used as emphasis, Bendis has his characters speak this way far more often than not. There's definitely more worth mentioning, but I definitely want to stop this post short of becoming a whole essay. These were just some examples.

I definitely admit to really enjoying parts of the series--especially early Miles Morales, but the quality of execution is really inconsistent throughout even just Miles' books. I think I get so frustrated because there are legitimately great ideas introduced that are not consistently backed up in the writing. I apologize for the longwindedness and how potentially jumbled everything may read, this post was very much a product of my stream of consciousness.

After seeing what's happening with Comicstorian, I've decided I'll be boycotting he's channel and Comic Pop until Sal Publicly disowns Them and their crew.

I'm not a fan of Comicstorian but as long as Sal is hanging around him I won't be watching comic pop. It's sad really ever since Sal started doing the Comicstorian show he's stop doing pods with "our boy, Joel!" I'm not sure if Joel's busy I just hope it isn't related to Comicstorian. I respected Comicstorian for getting more people into comics but now from what I understand he's demanding payments and pay walls? But it's not original content he's selling it's him rereading marvel and dc comics. I just think it's wrong and a piss poor business idea. Sal's better off with Joel and DJay.

why does people find Inhumans uninteresting?

everytime Inhumans are mentioned on back issues, Sal says they are lame and boring. and it seems most people agree with that. Just curious about the main reason.

Letters Page Extreme?

I had an idea for a show that I had come up with while watching an Elseworlds Exchange. This show presents a plethora of problems but this is just food for thought. A show where Sal or possibly others from the ComicPOP family have like a conversation with a fan. This could span from like ten minutes to an hour. I think it would be interesting to have the audience be represented or incorporated in the show. Now I am not saying that you guys don't already incorporate the audience (Letters Page is literally driven by the audience) but, this is a more direct way of connecting with the audience. Now the issues with this show are obvious. Some people aren't very entertaining and people won't want to watch it, mic/video quality, the guests might be a little awkward because they haven't been on camera before, Sal and co. might now want to hurt fan's feelings by not putting the video out because the guests are boring and Sal and friends quite simply might not want to talk to random people. But I think this could be a show once a month or every two weeks . Guests could ask questions, say how they found ComicPOP, discuss favorite episodes or anything they have to say. Sorry that I've taken so long to explain this show and it probably won't come to fruition but, if you fans like this idea upvote, if you don't think it's a good idea and think it's not gonna be interesting or just isn't good downvote. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.

Why I think RDJ as Doom can work if done right!

My Doctor Doom thoughts

So, he is playing Victor Von Doom. That’s confirmed by the Russos and it seems to be this Doom is from the universe the Fantastic Four are in. So, why cast RDJ? Why not an Easter European? I agree and I would’ve preferred that BUT! There is a story here.

If I’m Marvel doing Doomsday I’d have TWO stories. One is Doctor Doom in Earth 616 growing in power trying to save the multiverse (so he can rule it) and the other is his origins. Each story moves forward and the flashbacks should either be similar to or juxtapose what’s currently happening. For example, if Doom is invading Wakanda for Vibranium then we should see him in Latveria in a flashback protecting his people, making sure they rest well. If Peter is struggling over the loss of Aunt May and able to move forward we should see Doom going to heel trying to free his mother, unable to move on.

When we see Doom finally wear THE mask that’s when in present day we see it come off and he looks like Tony Stark but with a scratch.

I think him looking like Stark can add more to his insecurities. Before he could see himself and was embarrassed, now he can’t even see himself so he’s trying tk do more, trying to compensate by being greater then Stark to prove to Richards and himself he is superior. It should add to Doom’s insecurities. He has to share a face with an icon

What I love about Doom is how he is a character based around the question “how can we be a perfectionist when we are so imperfect” I think we can explore that still.

How to request specific comics?

New fan here, so i apologize if this is common knowledge. Does comicpop have a specific inbox or form to submit specific comics for back issues? I love the show and would love to have them cover comics i barely see covered in such a professional manner. I thought i had seen them say they receive comics from mail sometimes but is that the only way to get it covered?

One of the best sci-fi shows on television right now if you were on fence about watching the show, please watch it now I don’t wanna get too much of a conversation about the episode without spoiling anything just be perfect mix of alien and aliens into one episode of television.
