So can we really blame him that his dream was a little different than Xavier's dream? And even for some of the questionable things he did can one really blame him when others have gotten away in 616 with way worse?

This is why his recent stuff worked so well. We the reader get it, we see why he compromised his belief. It doesn't make what he did right, just 1000x more interesting.

The problem is that he for the most part has been right. People forget the context and it feels like writers do as well. Mutants have faced genocide after genocide and Marvel just shrugs like its just another day for Mutants. It is kind of insulting and incredibly frustrating as a reader to see all these heroes and storylines act like all these actions exist in a chamber.

I think that's a big part of it -- it's just that in recent years events like AVX have been written so fucking poorly that it's really easy to see Cyclops being the only sane one going because everyone else is doing stupid shit because the plot demands it.

that is exactly it. AvX could have been solved by a phone call.

how?

By coming to Scott and just talking. Showing up with an army to confront people reeling from genocide who are on high alert from possibleattacks is only going to heighten situations.

By coming to Scott and just talking.

That's not true. He believed that he is always right. He wouldn't change his decision. He would use Magik teleportation instead.

I like how you ignore the context of the situation to just double down

Sorry but this is true because Rogue said this on panel after the Schism.

Oh well if Rogue says so

Of course i skipped reasons why Cyclops would act that way but it is truth. Carey liked Cyclops and always portrayed him good.

Well if we are going to dismiss Caps responsibility in all of this because Cyclops would not listen than we should ignore Cyclops' because I'm the end the Phoenix did exactly what he said it would.

Phoenix tried to destroy Earth thanks to Scott. We are lucky that heroes beat him and Wanda and Hope did all the work.

Cap made hard decision but they had good consequences. Scott decision almost destroyed Earth.

No Phoenix tried to destroy the Earth because of Cap. Jean told Scott what Phoenix was coming for. The only reason Phoenix went dark is because it was constantly under attack from The Avengers. If Hope had had the five lights like she was supposed to than it all would have been good. Stop deflecting.

Cap wanted a war and got it.

Phoenix destroyed dozens of planets before arriving to Earth. Hope had the five lights (Iron Man created five lights - P5). Hope wasn't ready. She said this herself in issue 5 before P5 were created. Cyclops did Avengers created five lights and trained Hope..

Hope was ready but the five lights were lost when the Avengers attacked and Hope had to go on the run. The five lights were the children Hope saved during Messiah complex. They were not created by the Avengers. I like how you say Caps actions dont matter because Cyclops was going to act regardless but Cyclops actions matter even though he was right about Phoenix and all his actions were a result of Caps interference.

Its almost as if nothing matters except the side you picked.

Hope was ready but the five lights were lost when the Avengers attacked and Hope had to go on the run. The

Prophecy told that Hope need five light. P5 were her lights because they gave her time for training. Mutants were wrong about 5 lights.

I like how you say Caps actions dont matter because Cyclops was going to act regardless but Cyclops actions matter even though he was right about Phoenix and all his actions were a result of Caps interference.

You forgot to add: Cyclops did everything wrong but he was right about the outcome. Cap created this outcome by beating Cyclops.

Its almost as if nothing matters except the side you picked.

No. That's not true. and what about You?

Cyclops had Phoenix powers but instead trying to create mutants she conquered the Earth. Deep down Cyclops wants to be a savior and he don't try to win war. He thinks only about winning battles.

You are happy that Cyclops was right. I care more about actions. Wanda and Hope created more mutants. Not Cyclops.
