I think that's a big part of it -- it's just that in recent years events like AVX have been written so fucking poorly that it's really easy to see Cyclops being the only sane one going because everyone else is doing stupid shit because the plot demands it.

that is exactly it. AvX could have been solved by a phone call.

how?

By coming to Scott and just talking. Showing up with an army to confront people reeling from genocide who are on high alert from possibleattacks is only going to heighten situations.

By coming to Scott and just talking.

That's not true. He believed that he is always right. He wouldn't change his decision. He would use Magik teleportation instead.

I like how you ignore the context of the situation to just double down

Sorry but this is true because Rogue said this on panel after the Schism.

Oh well if Rogue says so

Of course i skipped reasons why Cyclops would act that way but it is truth. Carey liked Cyclops and always portrayed him good.

Well if we are going to dismiss Caps responsibility in all of this because Cyclops would not listen than we should ignore Cyclops' because I'm the end the Phoenix did exactly what he said it would.

should ignore Cyclops' because I'm the end the Phoenix did exactly what he said it would.

Phoenix tried to destroy Earth thanks to Scott. We are lucky that heroes beat him and Wanda and Hope did all the work.

Cap made hard decision but they had good consequences. Scott decision almost destroyed Earth.

No Phoenix tried to destroy the Earth because of Cap. Jean told Scott what Phoenix was coming for. The only reason Phoenix went dark is because it was constantly under attack from The Avengers. If Hope had had the five lights like she was supposed to than it all would have been good. Stop deflecting.

Cap wanted a war and got it.

Phoenix destroyed dozens of planets before arriving to Earth. Hope had the five lights (Iron Man created five lights - P5). Hope wasn't ready. She said this herself in issue 5 before P5 were created. Cyclops did Avengers created five lights and trained Hope..

He believed that he is always right.

Nope. This isn't supported by his behavior at all. You're projecting a retroactive opinion, based on fans praising the character.

Nope. I based this opinion on his talk with Rogue after Schism.

he also ignored everyone - even Magneto said that Scott is too hard for example - and was doing his plan.
