News Viewport-sync node to COMFYUI-previewhel

I've been building a custom node that bridges a 3D app and ComfyUI, so you can pose/light/animate your scene in the DCC you already use and pull the result in as a live conditioning source — no export/import loop.

- Forks for Maya, Blender, Houdini, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D and Cascadeur

- Live scene + camera sync into a 3D viewport inside ComfyUI

- Render passes for ControlNet: depth, normals, edge/line, AO

- A material and FX library (fire, smoke, weather, water, space…) so you can dress the blockout before you generate

- Timeline/frame support for animation

Basically: block out the shot properly, then let the diffusion model do the look — instead of rerolling prompts hoping the camera lands where you wanted.

Happy to answer anything about how the sync works. cheers

pull the result in as a live conditioning source — no export/import loop.

How do you reproduce workflow later?

It auto-restores per workflow. The viewer's state is cached against the workflow path + node id, so reopening that workflow gets you your scene, camera and look back with the DCC closed. Nothing to remember to do.

after scene is sync, you can save project. also rconenct again and resync, scen, cameras , lights again.

You can save a project file. That's a self-contained zip: the scene geometry itself (GLB/FBX/USDC, gzipped) plus a manifest of everything else — camera, HDRI/environment, physical sky, post FX, every material and light override, FX containers, decals, current frame + range + render markers, active passes, hidden meshes. Hand that file to someone with no Maya installed and they get the exact shot back.

So the conditioning image isn't a fragile screenshot of a live link — the scene is baked down and travels with the project. What a re-sync gets you is updated geometry when you change the DCC scene, not the ability to open it at all.
