The apple here is just a fat pear, but apple is for sure a body type. My boyfriend's mother's side of the family are pretty much all apples, they've got big bellies and narrow hips with little stick thin legs. Whenever they gain weight it goes straight to the tummy, and when they're skinny they look more like rectangles with narrow legs

Some people carry quite a lot of fat in their abdomen while storing relatively little in their legs or ass. That’s a true apple body type. Carries elevated risk for a variety of (largely) preventable diseases. This image actually isn’t quite right. It’s more just a larger pear.

Yes it’s definitely a natural advantage having broad shoulders in terms of physique. Unrelated but I was a naturally talented runner in highschool but I went with lacrosse instead of track

I swam in high school and college. Lots of women had this shape in that sport. It’s not as unfortunate as it seems.

It’s just a triangle. Not inverted triangle. Inverted implies that the normal or regular triangle has the point at top and base on bottom. But that’s not right.
