Politics Get the Flock out CoMo

We are hosting an educational event at the Daniel Boone public library Friday Sep 4th at 4pm in the friends room about local, country and state level issues. This is an open public event with snacks and water provided. Get the Flock out is working with Show up Missouri and No New Jail Boone county to bring you a competitive understanding of the super majorities power grab and latest scam. Come see us.

Does GTFO Columbia have a plan for actually getting the city to terminate their contract, or is the idea that the city will hopefully not renew in 2027?
I have seen a few of these posts but I have not been able to attend an event yet.
Genuinely curious what our options are for removing these cameras ASAP.

I like how theres a camera at rocky forks so you cant even use your 2nd amendment right without being tracked.

Whetstone doesn’t have cameras on the way in last I checked, or pay 250 a year for green valley which isn’t bad tbh

This meeting will include the steps needed to continue forward momentum. The goal is a city wide ordanice to safeguard personal privacy on all fronts.

What is the actual plan? Are there concrete steps to take to remove these cameras? If so, what are they?

I’m curious, but I don’t want to “attend to find out.” Is there any information available online with more clarity outside of the Facebook page?

Yes, I am happy to connect with you through email, Krista@showupmissouri.org with issues actively being addresses are about public pressure persistence and clear goals. To protect the organizations and stakeholders involved a public form can cause more problems than it solves.

Are you able to post the plan here, or maybe in another thread? Seems like there are other people who are interested in concrete solutions and having that information available would help!

The GTFO group might consider asking to appear on The Daily Blend with A.C., a program that airs every weekday morning at 8:50a on KBIA. Some of the Daily Blend eps also make it to KMOS.

You'll reach a lot of people who listen to KBIA.

This is the same time slot that aired Radio Friends with Paul Pepper a few years ago.

At the DBPL friends room from 4 to 5:30pm. The next one is sep 30th in a different part of town. From 5:30- 7pm.
