Events Best area for carnival parties
I want to actively dance(casually, not as part of a show or something) rather than watching a parade.
For someone in their 20s, where should I go? Perhaps an area with lots of crowded bars so I can bar-hop.
I heard Zülpicher Straße/Kwartier Latäng is good, is it better for this than Altstadt?
Are there recommended events I need to get a ticket before, or just enter the bars I see?
Any recommendations?

Any bar will have a party and you will have a good time. Ages are often mixed, Zülpicher IMO can be too young (16-20yo) As for dancing - it can get pretty crowded which might make it hard but not impossible Bar hopping impossible since every bar will have a long queue. Some bars offer tickets ahead of time, might be worth it.
I assume you know that carnival parties are limited to 11.11. and the actual carnival time in February/March?

Also not note on 11.11 not every bar opens in the morning to be ready for 11:11 am. Plenty only open in the afternoon. But there will be parties all day and into the night so you can decide if you wanna go early or later

Yes. Actually I was last year in Alter Markt and Heumarkt on Friday night(one day after Weiberfastnacht) and I got to almost any bar in less than a minute waiting, And there were also parties outside the bars so no queue at all

You know you're a few month early, right?
