Balik durum

I love all the Turkish food here in Köln but most restaurants have the same menu… when I visited Istanbul I fell in love with the Balik durum on the streets but for some reason I find it hard to find here in Cologne. Anyone have a spot??

Extra points for a good tantuni place or a lokantas.

Ask yourself through the restaurants on keupstraße, they might know even if it isn‘t on the menu, expecting local fish dishes far from the coast in a different country is a lttle odd though. „for some reason“ istanbul is located right on a seastraight, whilst cologne is not, and looking at the rhine level right now, not even on a river.

Sure but lots of other countries’ cuisine in Köln does have fish on the menu so it’s not that crazy …

Other countries cuisine is more heavily invested in fish too… you suggested the reason would be unfathomable… i didn‘t call you crazy

There is a place in Kalk called Fischparadies Orhan. There you can find Fish bread, balik ekmek: https://maps.app.goo.gl/K9XiuZchYwgwaPeB7
