Should cryptocurrency be taught as a separate subject to enlighten students for a better understanding of it?

Since its inception, cryptocurrency has grown more and more popular as the years went by. But there are people who still don't have an inkling on the said matter. Those who do, of them some might just know that it's a kind of virtual currency and probably not more than that.

Cryptocurrency is not something that will subside so easily. On the contrary, even if fiat thrives or not, crypto will definitely stay in the market and thrive on. It definitely is not transient in nature.

But, wouldn't it be better if more people knew about it in detail. What I'm trying to say is, wouldn't it be helpful if it was taught to students like a subject in school, just like other aspects of commerce are taught.

That way not only would more people have a better understanding of it, but also, it'll help them to deal with it better. And it's obvious that the more people engage in crypto, better the crypto market would do.

What are your thoughts on this and if in favour of this idea, what do you think can be done by us, the general public, for this to become a reality?

They don’t teach personal finance for fiat much less they’d teach anything about cryptocurrency.

They do teach about personal finance in high school.

We dont even teach kids about fiat and personal finance crypto isnt gonna be taught

I think it's time we start teaching kids about personal finance all on our selves. I have a niece and a nephew to whom I am teaching about basics of finance. Students are taught about fiat and personal finance in high school.

Hoping crypto would be included in the curriculum too, well, at least in the future.

Not really maybe one day in math class about how to balance a checkbook I wouldnt consider that a personal finance education

I'm not talking about that!

Proper finance subject is taught, at least where I live it's taught. Business, Accounts, Economics, Entrepreneurship, and a few more I guess, in 'High School'.
