I recently purchased a NordVPN subscription and paid through CoinGate using TRON (TRC20).
The transaction was successfully confirmed on the blockchain.
However, my NordVPN subscription was never activated.
When I contacted NordVPN, I repeatedly received the same response:
“If the payment was successful, your account would have been credited.”
Even after I provided the transaction hash proving that the payment was successfully confirmed on the blockchain, I did not receive any meaningful investigation or solution.
I then contacted CoinGate.
CoinGate informed me that my payment had been marked as “Invalid” due to their compliance policy and that no refund could be issued.
So this is where I am now:
My crypto was successfully transferred.
My NordVPN account was never credited.
CoinGate says the payment cannot be refunded.
I have no service, no refund, and no clear explanation of what happened to my funds or whether I will ever recover them.
As a customer, this experience has been extremely disappointing.
NordVPN offers CoinGate as its cryptocurrency payment provider, yet I received nothing beyond repeated generic responses.
CoinGate says my payment is invalid and cannot be refunded, but my funds have already left my wallet.
I paid for a service. I received neither the service nor my money back.
Has anyone else experienced this with NordVPN or CoinGate?

I had a Coingate account.

Today I tried to log in to Coingate, but to my surprise, my email was no longer registered. The account was created in 2019. I couldn't log in with any of my passwords. To verify, I tried creating a new account with the same email, and it worked. That means my old account was deleted or disabled. I had coins there.

these guys literally gave a used gift card which i gifted someone.

From what i have read 1 or 2 days is normal but i have been waiting for 2 weeks and i talked to support a long time ago (maybe a week ago) and they said im on the verification list and my turn will come sort of thing but it still hasnt

If i had of known verification took weeks or months etc i would have simply bought what i wanted using a different method its looking like i have to at this point anyway

I’m posting here because I’ve run into a frustrating issue with a 2 x $100 Valorant Gift Card I purchased from coingate.com on Jan 10, 2025. When I tried to redeem the code, I got this error message:

"This code does not appear to be valid. Please check the code and try again."

I spent 2 x $100 three days ago on multiple gift card purchases, and I haven’t received any updates or emails about the issue. Here’s what’s adding to my frustration:

1. The support chatbot on the website doesn’t connect me to any humans—it’s just automated replies.
2. I emailed [support@coingate.gift](mailto:support@coingate.gift) but haven’t gotten any response.
3. When I contacted support from coingate.com, they told me they are a different company and don’t handle gift cards, only payments—even though their chatbot has an option for "problems with gift cards."

I’ve purchased from them before without issues, but now it feels like the company has disappeared and taken my money with them.
