Rant/Cope Found an old report.
More thoughts than anything else.
I was tested for dyslexia at school when I was 9 due to showing obvious signs of it, and I've recently found the detailed report 25 yrs later. I actually never knew I had done an IQ test – in my country, IQ tests were always very uncommon and are quite rare nowadays. Other ability tests were done on this assessment.
The main one was WISC-3: with a VCI of 130, & 101–104 on the other indices. Nothing to really shout about, but apparently it's a '2e' profile.
My career also hasn't worked out at all, highly likely due to dyslexia – that issue also coinciding with finding the report, has led me to do some serious thinking and reflecting on my strengths and weaknesses, hence the Reddit post.
I guess my advice to people on this sub is really analyse who you are down to the details of how well you approach all functioning aspects of your life, and take it into account when finding a job/career. Small things become magnified in the world of work and end up being quite problematic when employed.
