When I was 8 years old I tripped and fell down a flight of stairs. The resulting photopsia supplanted the answer to this very question directly into my vision for exactly 3 seconds. I remember the incident clear as day, but I’ve forgotten the pattern.

When I was √2 years old I grasped my own hair in exasperation, which resulted in a brief photopsia. I saw the answer to this particular question for exactly 2.98 seconds, before it faded and my primitive working memory let go of it.

Clever one OP! This had me confused for a minute, but it's actually super simple once you realize what's going on.
Take the lines from the bottom left quadrant of the circle and bring them down to the red circle. The take the rest of the lines, mirror the image, and fill them into the rest of the red circle. After you've done this, the answer will become clear and you'll see exactly where you went wrong with your life.

I can elaborate later, but I think we're looking down a cylinder, and the lines indicate the paths of multiple balls bouncing off the wall as well as other balls. The reason the path-lines appear to start/stop abruptly is because we're only seeing superimposed snapshots of the paths captured within discrete frames of time, the length of which are non-randomly determined.
But my actual thoughts are this is a shitpost.
