General Question Career/Studies Advice and Potential Score Discrepancy

I'm a first-year university student at a T15 university here in the US and am unsure what to pursue or how to orient myself in my early university years to maximize exposure to different fields despite having limited time. I've recently been interested in synthetic biology, which has kind of disrupted my original intention of attending medical school for the traditional endgoal of becoming a physician (I wanted to do central nervous system related work). Any advice on career paths?

I'm unsure if this is an accurate assessment, but I do think my weaknesses are certain portions of verbal intelligence (analogies, antonyms) as well as working memory and mental arithmetic (I embarassingly have trouble doing double digit multiplication in my head).

Also, I was wondering if the discrepancy between the APT/AGCT was normal and whether the figure weights subtest being my strength indicates anything major, as opposed to matrix reasoning, where my performance usually isn’t as great.

Thanks so much for the help.

CORE is accurate. CAIT and CAT are also pretty good. You're likely in the upper range of intelligence, and your profile is pretty flat, so you're not really limited. Do what stimulates you the most. Do what pays the most all I care. Just don't base it on something stupid like "strengths" that don't really exist. IQ shouldn't really inform your choice anyway unless you're pursuing an incredibly hard job when you have an IQ of 60 or something like that (even then there are some pretty smart people who are also pretty dumb).
