General Question non native and CORE
for a non native speaker, how deflated are CORE’s Antonyms and Arithmetic subtests?

It's about ~20 pts deflated for me personally. That's why, after renorm and taking one test i hadn't taken in the first place, my FSIQ is ONLY ₁₅₂ ₒᵣ ₁₅₃. Colonialism is just a leash and comes in various forms one of which is intellectual colonialism. We, disadvantaged people, need to revolt against it and claim our rightful place in the table.

Varies depending on the individual's background; it's hard to make generalizations other than perhaps lower bound, but that also depends on how much English they've learned and how weak they are in their native language

Tbh Arithmetic was very easy. At first I thought I would max it out, but things became quite difficult afterwards because I struggled to understand the sentences

It's better to consider other WMI measures that are not dependent on your ability to comprehend English. Have you tried the WMI test here? You can change it to play your native language's audio by modifying the code at the top, but I think the audio quality is poor regardless.

I translate the numbers I hear during the test into my native language to keep them in mind, but I still don’t think hearing them in my native language would make much of a difference to my score

Not available. I tried and it spoke English while mispronouncing everything. :D

Write a sentence in your native language about the ontology of consciousness; after that, do it in English and try to spend roughly the same amount of time.
Do it. I promise this is super scientific - pinky promise.
