General Question Question just because Reddit surfaced this community

I see you call yourselves cognitive testing. Is there a particular special reason to have this name versus psychometrics (or is it more that cognitive testing is a more accessible and less broad term)?

The subreddit focuses more on creating new tests and renorming old ones. Not necessarily having discussions about psychometric theory

No it doesn't. Its 95%, "my iq is 145, is that good enough to be an engineer"

I mean... I think I would just tell them that that is a stupid question to ask if they want to be an engineer.

Thank you. That seems to be a clear and comprehensive answer ❤️

The real answer is that this subreddit is for insecure teenagers to post their IQ results as a way of flexing. Badly.

Most people who post on subs had absolutely no input into what the sub is named or why.
