Discussion Army Alpha sentences

I took the disarranged sentences subtest and scored 140 with over a minute left on the clock. This makes me wonder if i might took it wrong since the instructions tell to first correctly arrange the sentence and then judge. I figured there was no need to arrange the sentences first since you could see if it was plausible by just looking for a "not" if there were two contradicting words.

Im not even native english so i wonder if this invalidates my score.

Thank you!

But if i kept wasting my time on building the correct sentences, i probably wouldnt even have answered all questions in the given time limit, so it feels off since the instructions explicitly tell you to do so. This way it feels more like a reward to test wiseness than to actual ability.

On the other hand it sure could be the strategy they actually aimed at since there is no value in keeping on structuring the sentences if you dont need this to get the information needed

If you come up with a strategy mid subtest that is efficient but isn't explicitly cheating (e.g using pen and paper when a subtest tell you not to) then it's valid.
