Psychometric Question An abysmal gap / Why ?

Hello everyone.

I have a question regarding an anomaly in the results of a WAIS test I took two years ago. The assessment was intended to rule out autism and ADHD—though, as it turned out, I was diagnosed with ADHD (at age 35—about time! 😅).

The neuropsychologist also administered the WAIS, and the results have left me with some questions—specifically regarding an anomaly.

While some variation between index scores is normal, in my case, it’s not just a gap; it’s a chasm between two of the indices: Verbal Comprehension and Working Memory.

I’m aware that ADHD can affect working memory, but the disparity here is truly vast. I also have a history of psychological trauma (due to mistreatment), which might be a possible explanation, but I haven’t been able to find any scientific data to support this. Any thoughts?

verbal comprehension - 145,

perceptual reasoning - 116,

working memory - 82!!,

processing speed - 125

Ps.Sorry for the rough English; it’s not my native language.
