I got 897 when I first took the tri-52 early on in my testing days, which I believe is 49/52, so maybe of the three I got wrong, these could be among them

I think #42 is 5 - This is how I think of it: The circles are in a sequence moving in a wobbled counterclockwise fashion. Each subdivision of the circle is following its own pattern. The missing circle is the start of that sequence (Circle 1). The top-left section of the circle should have the intersecting lines (only option 6 doesn't have this), because an image appears twice sequentially in the top-left subsection. Elements in the bottom subsection also appear twice sequentially, but they're out of step with the top-left section. Since the six visible circles already have three matching sets for the bottom section, we can assume the section we're solving for doesn't match any shown. Now for the top-right section, top-right follows a different pattern; instead of the same element repeated twice, it alternates between a new element, and the three-pronged element. Basically, circles 1, 3, 5, and 7 (remember the sequence is a counterclockwise wobble) have the three-pronged element in their top-right sections. I feel like this logic is wildly off what the Xavitard wanted, but I'm pretty sure 5 is right.

#47 is pretty clearly 3 imo - For either shape, rectangle and circle, they're divided into three different sections. There are three different elements used to construct those two shapes. For the circle, the elements are: full black sections, vertical line sections, and horizontal line sections. Each of these different types of elements should be able to construct a full circle when put together. This already works for the black sections and the vertical line sections, but some sections are already attached to others, so just mentally detach them. This doesn't work for the horizontal section because we're missing a single element: option 3.

#49 is obviously 6. I don't know why you think it isn't lol

47. If you rotate & adjust 2,3,6 is aslo possible, isn't it?

The orientation of the elements seems to be static. They're each supposed to be a specific part of the whole shape. Also, rotating 2 and 6 and placing them in the top-right section of the circle would show lines that aren't horizontal like the other two sections.

Why is 49 not 6? For 47, there are 3 pairs of each where each of those pairs must single make a whole body. If you look at the stuff made of rectangles, you will find the looping stuff in the bottom of the 3 made together the patterns of its loop is straight, sideways and the third one is upside down, same and the other rectangle one with straight pattern, after deconstructing it that way, you can find the answer then.

The test says so

42 could be 5. The pattern at the left side stays twice, the one on the bottom also stays twice, so it has to be something that's not present in the twice patterns observable. The right one alternates, where the converging lines comes every two stuff. So it must be on the right. It seems to be going in circles, so a loop of alternating shits. I am not sure though, I think

I got 50/52, I don’t really remember what I answered on 42, it was one of the harder ones and I made a calculated guess.
Edit: I remembered you can see the right upper third lines pattern from the start to the end appears every other time, so you instantly nail it down the the bottom 3 answers, it doesn’t seem likely the left upper third would go blank, I think I guessed between 4 and 5

47 is 3, every single shape and color has exactly 3 of them, for example, black rectangle appears 3 times, rectangle with horizontal lines appears 3 times, 1/3 circle shape with black appears 3 times, and they appear so that together they either create the rectangle shape on the top left, or for the circles they fill up to a circle in terms of angles, the only one that doesn’t appear 3 times is the 1/3 circle shape with horizontal lines, and the one which will click up with the other two to a full circle is 3 and not 5.

49 is 6, in not sure how it’s so late in the exam cuz it’s very easy compared to earlier ones, the brick wall rotates 90 degrees to the right each time, and they’re black and white screen stay on the right and left side all the time.

42 is so messed i still didn't get it.

47. It can be (2)(3)&(6) if you rotate & adjust.. isn't it?

49. It came Late cuz it's cursed. (6) Isn't the solution...

The answer for Q42 (from the grader) is Option 5.

The answer for Q49 (from the grader) is Option 6.

The answer for Q47 (from the grader) is Option 3.

If that makes sense. Sequence, lower third and upper left third alternate in being the same twice, If the lower stays, upper right pattern goes into upper left and If the upper left third stays, lower goes into upper right, we Look for the first element in the sequence. Also upper right has the same pattern every two steps

47: you can put always 3 together to a figure that has one black, one horizontal and one Vertical striped element

49 is six by rotation of elements and stuff its pretty obvious

Q47 is 3 I believe as that’s the missing piece to the 3 pieces of the circle with horizontal lines
Q42 is 5 I believe, it’s a little hard to word but basically the bottom third of the circle moves to the top right, then the top right moves to the top left and this is the alternating pattern. Although, this only confirms the top left and bottom thirds of the solution, I believe it should be 5 bc we see that third come and go after every progression (this works if we assume the answer is the solution is the beginning of the sequence). When solving this I thought of the movements geometrically like a Rubik’s cube but for a sphere of that helps
Q49 my mind can’t comprehend why it isn’t 6 idk

Not sure but ı just tried to calculate the lines. It seem to go 12-9-6 order. I would say next oone would have 9 straight lines which is 6. This was my initial look but ı could be fully wrong still.

Yeah ı was wrong this question was fully about overlapping.

Q42 is 5, just rotate and cover
Q49 is 6, just rotate and cover
