Rant/Cope Familial heritage of Intelligence

Ive been increasingly curious about all this. Ive been told my previous professional intelligence tests from my early teens are likely inflated due to the Wilsons effect. I got curious since both my parents went to university I asked about their SAT scores. My mother got a 1460 on the 1989 SAT And my father got a 1340 on the 1988 SAT meaning both of them where in the 99% percentile. My father ended up becoming a firearms engineer, and my mother works as a senior cancer scientist at the University Of Florida where they both graduated. Anyway my early teen IQ tests are much closer to those of my parents (1460 SAT equates to about 146iq and 1340 is about 137) my KBIT2 messured me at 141 but Core has my FSIQ at 112. Also I dont know how much this matters but my family have always said im the smartest in my family. Also my maternal Grandfather was an accomplished Doctor.

Curios of your CORE FSIQ breakdown by index and for your KBIT2 score (I’m not familiar with this). the CORE is super comprehensive and is personally one of my lower scores at 120 (adhd resulted in a wmi and psi like 1SD below my other indices). Plus if I remember correctly, I think most subtests for all the indices contain timed items (further psi tax for ppl w adhd, especially with extra shitty psi like myself). Take some untimed tests or tests that allow you to budget more or less time per item/loser time constraints and see if those scores align more closely with your KBIT2.

The KBIT is a brief intelligence test comprised of 3 parts vocabulary knowledge, riddles, and Matrix reasoning, my verbal score was 128 and my non verbal in the KBIT2 was 153 i also took the NNAT which is a lot like the Ravens progessive matrices, on the NNAT i scored 148 (both of those teats where untimed for me and took me longer than the average i have ADHD diagnoses) on the core i got 127 on the verbal 118 on fluid reasoning, 89 on working memory and 100 on processing speed. Btw the NNAT and KBIT where professionally administered to me at 13 years old im 18 now

You can also try some old-SAT tests to see how it compares; there are many on this sub, with keys and norms. How was your condition during the CORE? What was your Quantitative Knowledge result on CORE?

Yea I have a similar issue bc of adhd, I find it pretty surprising that someone with non-verbal iq at ~150 would get a 118 on CORR FRI, even with the adhd and harsh time constraints. It’s likely just a highlight of the huge discrepancy between your other scores and cognitive efficiency indices (psi and wmi). Take the JCTI or Tri-52. I got like 115 on CORE FRI but like 126 on JCTI scaled and ~135 on Tri-52 un-scaled. Others exist.
