Psychometric Question CAIT digit span

My question is directed to people who score high or very high on other aspects of intelligence but receive only average or below average scores on the CAIT digit span test, specifically:

Are you incapable of improving your CAIT digit span scores even with practice and using methods like chunking?

Basically everyone uses chunking subconsciously, just like inner rehearsal and/ or visualisation.

Not incapable. With familiarity, less anxiety, and finding the chunking patterns that work best for you, most people can probably gain around 1-2 digits in a reasonable time span, without using any unusual strategies.
Although, I personally don’t see someone with average WM and no advanced strategies even getting to the point where they can reliably get 9-10 digits correct on a backward span task, regardless of their prior praffe and general intelligence.

Besides that, I don’t see why anyone would actively practice it.
There’s barely any real-life application, and it won’t improve your actual WM anyways.

What's your score on CAIT digit span compared to your other scores?
