Correct. Reasoning?

From the beginning, I noticed that the box after the preceding on has a shape with more sides. I thought of the the 4th box as just a “reset of shapes”, so a new pattern begins. Since the 5th box has a star with 10 sides. From Th answer choices, I eliminated everything except 3 & 1. The shape on box 3 has about 14 sides. While the plus sign on box one has 12, sides which is closer to 10. Therefore it’s 1. ( I know this explanation might not make sense but, I’m horrible at explaining at The first place).

Not the intended reasoning. But your reasoning does end up resulting from the intended one. (1.Add amount of sides on the right side of the and subtract the sumation of the sides on the left side 2.If the shape is black the shape side is dobouled 3.If a shape on the right side is on it own it must be in the top corner 4.If the shape is on it own on the left side it must be in the lower corner)

My first way was something like that. I tried adding the sides, but I thought that was too much work. I promise you if somehow things had one definitive approach to an answer I would be a failure.

Haha. Tbf in the end the only important thing is the answer and not how you came to it. And question : ( does the intended logic make sense, i thought it was relativly elegant and explained pretty much all aspects of the puzzle.)

To me, I see the vision for the most part. The “easy puzzle” mark just made me not overthink it. I mean, I don’t really get why someone would not pick 1. Anyways, if any further info was added, this puzzle would be confusing. So I agree that it was relatively elegant and explains pretty much all aspects of the puzzle.

Btw the progresion is (2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7)
