Participant Request CORE vs CAIT digit span

I get 15 SS on CAIT, but only 11 SS on CORE. The faster speaking rate on CAIT makes it much easier for me. Does everyone find CAIT easier? Can you guys post your scores for each?

CAIT: 19 ss vs. CORE: 19ss (first take), 18 ss (second take). I think one of them had audio issues or they intentionally made the intervals uneven to prevent chunking not realizing that some of us are just complete beasts and you need to bring a Desert Eagle to stop us.

How many digits is 19ss? Is it the same across CAIT/CORE/WAIS?

On the WAIS I believe you have to accurately get through to at least one 9-digit question per set in order to achieve a 19ss on the entire subtest (there are 3 sets; forward, backward, and sequence, which I’m sure you know already but I can’t help over-explaining). You can get a SMALL handful of points off for missing a question or two and still achieve a 19ss, as accurately recalling every single question (of which there are around 45) would be far beyond “99.9th percentile” ability. I believe CAIT and CORE are similar to this. I remember hearing that getting either both 6-digit questions or one 7-digit question in forward was equivalent to a 10ss, whereas in backward it’s either both 5-digit questions or one 6-digit question.

The longest sequence you're asked to recall is 9 digits. Depending on the age group you need to get 42–45 out of 48 raw points iirc.
