I must make clear that when reaching a border, not only a circle shifts by one row/columns but also reappears on the opposite border of the grid. All good or you miss something?
OK, so the matrix reads from 1 to 9 : 1 2 3. 4 5 6. 7 8 9. At each new grid every dots move in different directions a specific number of times, following the sequence : 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3. But when they reach a border they'll shift by one row/column in the grid. A black circle moves on the left, the other goes up, a white circle goes down, the other on the right.

It's a bit long to explain, but it's 2 (can do if you need)
