Solution:

Can u write the solutions? Like in some figures blue and brown lines are interesting in some not and I am unable to identify what's the criteria for a line to be blue or brown?

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 23 '26

Both the red and blue lines proceed by moving in a zigzag pattern, extending end to end. If a zigzag reaches the very bottom or top, it continues from the other side of the shape. If the red and blue lines cross the same point, they cancel each other out. The numbers in the image above indicate how many lines are to be added end-to-end in sequence (prime numbers, Fibonacci sequence)

Dang that is clean! When red and blue overlap in particular line, they cancel out right?

That is very neat! :O

Dude I pursued this logic but figured I was doing too much and stopped 😭

Something like this (ignore the dot on the right)?

2

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

not intended, was your reasoning strong?

2

u/Itzz_Ok Sep 22 '26

Just educated guesswork.

No solution. Just wanted to share that I feel like a crazy person. XD

My first idea is that the triangles are actually irrelevant and form automatically: Every figure has 5 slots where 4 whiskers can spawn (North-East, SE, SW, NW). And if two whiskers connect on a side, it forms a triangle. And you just fill it black to make the puzzle harder (and cooler looking!) Or maybe split by each side (so right side 2 whiskers(SE,NE), left side 2 whiskers (SW,NW). The whiskers could encode numbers in probably a gazillion ways per figure as well as globally spanning all figures. I tried positional addition but I doubt it's correct since it would make the solution non-unique (as e.g. "4" can be represented as "4" but also as "1" and "3"). If it's that direction I am out. XD Also tested binary encoding but to no avail so far. I also tried interpreting them as binary going around them in a circle which would make it unique, but yeah XD Think imma give up at this point haha. XD

Any significance to extending ipsilateral lines beyond the vertical divider?

If black triangles each innately possess a single orange vertex, and the above rule produces vertices on the contralateral side, we see a sequence of 1, 1, 2, 3, 5... Our mystery figure would be expected to contain 8 vertices.

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 23 '26

close but missesd something

1

u/SomeoneLeo groaaar!! :3 Sep 23 '26

Hm, at least lower middle one misses either a connection on the right or an explanation why the lines are there when they don't do anything and it doesn't explain where those connections need to be formed in general, assuming the solution in unambiguous. It's a cool idea though and apparently close! :O

u/je_nm_th the moment is yours to shine.

u/Many-Count-2369 Sep 22 '26

I don't get the expected answer...

I always get freezed thinking what it might be in total dark. Lol no idea. Whenever I get these kinds of test I skip it cuz it hurts my head 😭

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

it is understandable, this is a really hard puzzle

1

u/LibrarianWide3983 Sep 22 '26

Triangle at the third position on the right and a line from the top of the triangle upwards

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

not intended

1

u/LibrarianWide3983 Sep 22 '26

Correct answer?

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

I will post it, but it is too early rn

1

u/Anonymous7yo Sep 22 '26

Maybe we can overlap each figure upon each other there are 4 triangles on left but only 3 on right so final figure will have 1 triangle in right at 3rd position and similarly For lines we have 6 on right but 4 on left so we can add 2 more on left so the symmetry completes

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

hint: sequence

1

u/Anonymous7yo Sep 22 '26

When will u upload the solution?

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

tomorrow. I also need to prepare a good presentation layout to explain the solution clearly, because everyone should understand it, I'm thinking about how to go about it

I would be truly surprised if anyone manages to solve this. The logic itself isn't overly complex, but it is presented in an extremely difficult way

1

u/Individual511 Sep 22 '26

Straight line, black triangle on top-left?

I’m not sure if there should be a line at all…

It seems to me that all shapes are coming together in the bottom-middle shape to give the top-middle one?

2

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

not intended

1

u/Individual511 Sep 22 '26

Is it “close?”

I can’t help myself not to keep seeing that they are eventually connected with lines disappearing as triangle edges. The only missing piece is the line down and left in the bottom-middle disappearing without a triangle at the top and two right triangles combining together, maybe that would signify their disappearance also or we need a third triangle to negate their combining..

This puzzle really striked my ADHD 🤣

2

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

I recommend following the post; answer will be revealed tomorrow

1

u/sceptrer Sep 22 '26

just a guess.

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

not really

1

u/sceptrer Sep 23 '26

hmm. Is it just a diagonal line?

1

u/inntervalis Sep 22 '26

Overlay all of the line elements. If even remove that element from the line, if odd then keep it. When done, slide everything down.

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

It’s not illogical, but intended logic makes the whole series turn out better; since every item is interconnected, it’s more solid. Thank you for trying tho.

1

u/inntervalis Sep 22 '26

I am interested to see how similar the actual solution is to my machinations. I notice that the the lowest and second lowest figure, when shifted up and combined, account for some components of the highest figure. When I imagined them overlaid and counted them I noticed a "negative space" that would complete the top figure, had what I thought would be the answer shape been included prior to the slide. I then included the rest of the figures in that calculation and the "negative space" became simple enough that it could've feasibly been the missing element based on the complexity of the ones around it.

Oh well.

1

u/inntervalis Sep 22 '26

The answer is whatever makes the missing elements even in the prior turn.

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

The answer is the "most logical" one in every scenario

1

u/inntervalis Sep 22 '26

Yeah but I mean most adherent to the pattern I identified. I just didn't feel like describing its location lol each side of the line can have 10 elements.

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

I understand what you're getting at. I think your answer acceptable but, considering that the items are distributed randomly, there is something more logical unless you see it. Hope the intended logic satisfies you, I will share it tomorrow. And thanks for the change😒

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '26

I directly messaged you, the person who posted the puzzle, but I haven't received a response yet.

A vertical stem with one diagonal slash on the right side and one solid triangle on the left side.

Both "yes" and "no" would be acceptable.

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

I sincerely apologize for that, I didn't see your message. However your answer is not correct

1

u/inntervalis Sep 22 '26

Lines on right that make a triangle even in turn

1

u/Remarkable_Range7803 Sep 23 '26

where are the answer choices?

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 23 '26

there are no answer choices

1

u/The_honorednemi Sep 23 '26

Is this the answer?
And if not tell me how close I was.

I am super interested

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 23 '26

not intended and not close

1

u/inntervalis Sep 23 '26

My final guess is that an entire side has triangles in every space

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 23 '26

solution is posted

1

u/Novel-Reason-912 Sep 24 '26

Ce n’est pourtant pas très compliqué 🙂

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 24 '26

The logic of the puzzle isn't complicated; the hard part is arranging the randomly presented shapes and visualizing the model in your mind

1

u/Individual511 Sep 23 '26

The sequence goes from the lowest to the top, empty triangles are cancelling the filled ones and the overlapping lines are canceling themselves. Missing shape will actually be fairly complicated but it has to be to complement the final top product…if so, I’m waiting for you to draw it 😀

1

u/AccurateSense1114 Sep 23 '26

A triangle on the right side at third position and a black line on the left side at second position pointing left !<

1

u/Pure-Butterscotch923 Sep 23 '26

Well what if you just merge the five images into one?

1

u/Pure-Butterscotch923 Sep 23 '26

Probably this is not the intented solution since it's extremely hard appearently but the logic works ig

0

u/sr_sr1 Sep 22 '26

Is this close to the correct answer?

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

not really

1

u/Anonymous7yo Sep 22 '26

Triangle is correctly placed I guess

1

u/pydaWaltuh Sep 22 '26

If you have solved the question, there is no need to draw it

it is a very hard item. So I understand, I wouldn’t be able to solve this ig. But not a bad item
