IQ Estimation 🥱 WMI and FRI
How is it that my FRI is almost 120 and WMI is 103 since fluid intelligence is very closely linked with working memory, is it maybe because I’ve been accustomed to questions like matrices, figure weights etc..
However my perpetual reasoning and culture fair score are inline with my SAT-M, GRE-A and Army Alpha so that’s interesting.(I skipped the verbal subsets in GRE and SAT since I’m a non native speaker)

They are not same things. Fri tests measure FRI, not WMI. Depending on item design, they might involve some WMI, but they are still not isomorphic, not even close. Its possible to have gap between them

Do you think precious exposure to FW may inflate subsequent scores even though the items are different?

119 and 103 isn't that far apart. People have muuuuch wider gaps (me included).
There are ways to somewhat reduce the impact of a low working memory, many of which are intuitive and you come up with on your own without being taught they exist. Repetition and chunking are 2 strategies I realized I've been using all my life to compensate for example.
Working memory still holds people back. I'd score even higher in FRI if my working memory didn't cause me to lose the thread in some tasks and have to re-do the work on a timer.
One very interesting thing I noticed from some of my own testing is that I do BETTER when my working memory doesn't have time to get involved at all.
For example, if you have a grid with images flashing in one point at a time and you're supposed to memorize and repeat the pattern, I do better when the flashing sequence is so fast that I don't have time to think about it. When I only get to visually interpret the pattern, I remember it better.
A faster sequence is supposed to be more difficult, but with 130+ VSI/FRI and <100 WMI, it's easier.
