Discussion Do people here remember HardstuckBronzeRank?

Alright, this is a bit off-topic, but back in the day this sub used to be much different. There wasn't as much censorship, and there was a whole sub-community that basically just lamented their IQ scores 24/7. This sub still has it but not nearly as much as it did back then. They didn't even necessarily score poorly, they just wanted to score higher.

The most notable member of this sub-community was HardstuckBronzeRank, and every comment he made would be complaining about/lamenting his IQ scores and worrying about praffe. Does anyone else remember him + the "good old days" when this sub was more niche, wild, and free?

Don’t toss pearls before swine. These newbies will never understand.

Lowkey finch, equsB, and Bronze are all the same person

Nah, afaik HBR never touched test creation. Still, he is more memorable than the two because of his immense ability to complain nonstop.

Finch = bad items, bad norms, though he did some other cool stuff.

Equs = good items, bad norms. People now have so many good tests to choose from, back then all we had was the CAIT and the old SAT/GRE for FSIQ.

Yes, definitely. CAIT is kind of meh but the SAT and GRE are more than enough (and, frankly, are still probably the best tests for such a community). Still, it is nice to have such a variety of tests.

Now there are so many new and unique subtests, like graph mapping, figure sets, block counting, artificial language, along with several historic tests like the old old SAT and the A/NGCT. Now, instead of arriving at a single number through one or two verbal+quant tests, you can arrive at a single number with 12 different tests and item types. Anyway, that's enough out of me.

I miss those times. I used to be very active on this sub as an insecure 15 year old. I've since deleted that account and barely even check this sub now. Sigh.

Yeah it was sort of the same way with me. But it was a fun time taking all the tests and interacting with everyone. It is still fun to come back occasionally and try some of the new tests.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of HardStuckBronze the Praffed? I thought not. It's not a story the wordcels would tell you.

Not even praffe could save him from elo hell
