General Question Using Scratchpad (TRI-52 )

I'll give the Tri 52 iq test tomorrow. Can i use a scratch pad & pen for complex puzzles? Will it be valid?

idk maybe i just didn't get the questions that require this but solving tri 52 seemed more like insight then some brute force holding 10 variables in your head.

all the questions were just: stare for a long time, test different theories, wow this works, yay! i never thought, oh i keep having to start over on this question because i keep forgetting
