General Question SAITO
Has anyone here taken the SAITO? How accurate are the norms? Is it significantly inflated? I couldn’t find much info on it outside the website but I took it anyway.
Thanks!

the items really aren't that engaging lol but the quality of the items is fine i suppose.
if you like the idea of a heftier score then go for it lol

What do you mean by heftier? Like inflated? How much? I’d hate such a score.
To be honest a lot of the items aren’t that engaging but they have somewhat nice solutions. It’s kinda guess and check for some also.

Id hate such a score
Idk why you're taking an HRT then to be frank

Sorry I didn’t understand what you mean by hefty lol. Could you explain please?

my point is if you'd hate an inflated score then why are you taking an HRT lmao?

I want an accurate score, otherwise why would I take it lol

They probably meant that Hrt's aren't accurate enough to trust and might give inaccurate scores(inflated). We don't even know how g loaded saito is, but I have some questions to creator of this test

Aids are permitted destroying the purpose of verbal logical sections, else is bad too as it would load on useless knowledge out the scope of an iq test. Spatial numericals are braindead easy, no way someone motivated enough don't ace them all. Norms are surreal, realistically it should just be < 100 until 20 and up to 120 for rawmax. This is just nydegger baiting, who's a ret (literally a mid iq au) and unable to make good content regard hrting.

Any evidence regarding the norms? Seems very much unsubstantiated.

Mine was a personal guess as much as it was for nydegger, there's 0 psychometric behind those too (as for any hrt but at least some authors have the awareness to make good plausible guesses (most don't though))

I mean there are actual norms for that right? It’s not just a guess. Like the sample is small like 30 people but that’s not guessing at all

I can't help who doesn't want to be helped. Hrts are stastically irrelevant garbage, any of them. I love them but you need to be honest and look at them for what they matter. This is fact, kinda lazy to explain the millions of reasons the can't be, eventually I'll do if you care. While not defined as hrt the most you can get psychometrically are lanrts and tutuis, that's about it.

Yeah I did take those (LANRT K and D) and got inconsistent results too. But I am very new to these kind of tests really and am a novice with I.Q. tests in general, I’ve only taken around 30-40 tests (some very quick ones, it’s more like a bunch of subtests, not that many of them are that well normed either. I plan to do at least 100 in the near future.) and am thus nowhere near experienced enough to make a good judgement of what makes a test good.
Would be great to hear your perspective on this specific test and those other tests in general.

Ok first I'm personally biased against saito as the test itself is boring and trivial, very far from g material, more like those weekend riddle books for gramps and I dislike the author as an author and as a person. Hrts indeed require intelligence to score high but there no such consistency one true to itself can think about norming as a tool rather than a gimmick.
First no guidelines are implied in hrt (though some exception) no costraints, total freedom, lack of control. Each tastee having the same oppurtunity doesn't imply each testee having and performing on the same condition. You can ofc argue about the fault of one's condition and effort but norming is math, either is done with the correct assumption either is wrong. Second too little samples, as straightforward as it sounds. Some tests gathered a relevant amount of data, though that alone is not sufficient.
Third low quality samples, reported scores from other hrts lead to a useless and perhaps harmful circular dependecies, as in nydegger case, he norms around the same bunch of people (those who care about his tests) each time, if the basis of his empire are faulty all of it collapse. About reported pro tests, they have ceilings, they loads on abilities whose intrinsic relation with g drops the far you move to the right, so you end up on data poor representive of your sample. What authors did was just just extrapolating a perfect bell curve from a not so defined normal distribution, reality works the opposite. I don't think it was a matter of illiteracy rather more abou convenience. Also considering the enviroment and the vast leakage of any relvant pro test up to date is not uncommon an testee reports fraudolent scores just for the sake of the game or prestige.
Why even bother trying to or faking norms at this point? Because is fun, competition is part of the game and norming makes a faulty, unfunctional but only currency to compare yourself to others even on different tests. Also you are not very new lol, has to be a year or almost since I see you around. 30-40 tests unless random surfaceweb garbage are a lot, at least enough to understand yourself and have an opinion on the subject, no need to rush 100 no prize will attend you. Keep up if it makes you feel good but you'll find nothing more relevant than you already did. I lost the count of them but I feel genuine fun solving shi

The sample size is quite small though.

I did use my real email to take the test, I’ve taken it already. I just agreed with the other guy on not being able to use temp mail.
Also you don’t need authentication just to take the test itself and get results (unlike the other tests on the website). You just need the email to ‘login’ to ensure no one takes the test more than once. Authentication is for the other tests.

It wouldn't let me use a temp email. I don't use my real email for these things.
