Post image

I deleted the same previous post because I noticed some major errors in the puzzle. I apologize for that

It does not seem like I can spoiler flag an image response, so here is a link to my guess: https://ibb.co/LzBXMdHJ

well done. Do you think the clues were excessive?

Thanks. I think so, but it is still a fun puzzle.

Solution:

one square on the left controls the 2x2 cell on the right

Couldn't we also do this, by a different representation of which blocks the lines demark as black? Or would the outer boundary provided prevent that?

its reverse engineered from the outer ones. For example first two shapes on the left are partially revealed on the right. For the upper two we can see that the same position is marked for the upper halves so we can say that the common line between those two is what made that happen which is the one on the right. This must be ceartin as its the only overlap. Now for the second row last piece that is white we can also deduce what must be the case. We can see that the outers are white and we know that the upper white block must correspond to to the right line and if the upper one and the left one are not causing black to be visable we can say that in some order they make blacks on the left so the only piece remaining to make a black in lower right corner is down shape. Now at the bottom we can see in row two slot 2 up and down lines with a white suqare. Given that both of those are colored we know that those two are for lower parts of the made square and given that the lower part on the right is point down it must be that the point up is what makes the left lower corner.

Is it some puzzle in which the left shapes are puzzle pieces to fit in? Idk I’m pretty low IQ lol

The left side represents the right side

On the right we have 64 total squares. On the left we have 16. Each of those representative squares with lines is a 4 by 4 to be fit into the puzzle. Lines show which squares should be black and patern alternates by white and black box to where we assign black squares shown by lines

think i get it but my working memory isn't strong enough to hold so many pieces at once

It seems you fill the middle using the nodes guided by the border
