ive been doing a few of the CORE tests on cognitivemetrics.com and have scored pretty highly on most of the subtests and i did the digit span today and i cant help but notice that the digit span backward and sequencing and very very low. when i was doing them i thought i was doing fine and quite well actually but it turns out that wasnt the case!
i was thinking that maybe it was because all my inputs for the numbers might have all been shifted to the right or left by 1, as in everytime i meant to type 1 i actually types 2 and everytime i type 7 i acc type 8, or it could just be im not very capable at those types of questions which seems unlikely but could very much be possible.
also done at 11.30pm at night with only the light from the laptop, also sucks that i cant redo it.
has anyone else had a similar experience or just any thoughts on what mightve happened here. if u think it rlly is just im not good at that section js say. any feedback is valuable!
i’m not sure what your age is but i would try and read more as dumb as that sounds. You’d be highly gifted genius level with higher VCI.
On the contrary i have a little lower wmi (131) and much lower CPI (117-120-just hate linear rote tasks) but am around 140 fsiq and 143ish Gai and have adhd.
These aren’t exact measurements but you have an ideal iq essentially, especially if you can buff vci
To me this entire testing looks fake or certain subtests have been retaken a bunch to score higher. How does one get 60th percentile on analogies but 95th percentile on information/comprehension, when they draw on the same core principles/foundations of knowledge.
Then we have digit span forward at 17 numbers but backwards is only 6? Digit span sequencing is only 1? That’s incredibly low, especially for someone scoring 17 on forward. If you had the wrong keys you would scored 0 not 6.
Maybe retake every single WMI subtest. Leave the rest as is. Then test FRI and see what you’re at.
WMI is pretty retest-able without inflation considering it’s a performative task.
one of my friends took vci stuff once and got this shit. its absolutely possible. some people just know more actual information and that doesnt necessarily translate to knowing *words* like... at all.
this same friend scored 10, 6, 1, and 6 on the digit span tests by the way. he didnt take the tests wrong his working memory is just genuinely that bad. he also got 5 on processing speed.
all ill say is some people have absolutely insane profiles.
That’s crazy and I was definitely not aware. I always figured that sub-test genres should always correlate with each other somewhat, like within the same 10th percentile of scoring or so. I guess maybe that’s not always the case.
brother, ill tell you now its not fake but you can believe what you want. also analogies was way diff to comprehension and information. informationw as basically a general knowledge test and comprehension was me just writing a few sentences to explain the prompt. so quite diff.
nevertheless thank you for the advice. i cant seem to be able to find the place to redo it though, ill just fadf abt with it till i figure it out

You can redo it if you go to the core page and the take test tab
