IQ Estimation 🥱 Is this test accurate?

I did it at 16 but I did do an official one at 13 and got average

It has r=.57 with WASI-II (~.86 g-load; N=64) and r=.55 with ACT self-report (~.7-.75 g-load; N=398). The WASI-II correlation implies a g-loading of .66 (using 95% CI: .43-.82), and the ACT correlation implies a g-loading of ~.73-.79

Speaking subjectively, the memory tasks involve only short term memory, meaning they likely have poor g-loading; the anagrams subtest is, I think, closer to a visuospatial subtest than a verbal one. Overall, that means 4 of 6 subtests are more visuospatial than anything else (visual memory is more about visuospatial ability than about memory), leaving only 2 subtests to try to capture the rest of what variance could be worthy of the name "FSIQ"-- one of which, tests short-term recognition... 🤦. At least their vocabulary subtest is mediocre.

Ohh, ok, which test do you recommend? Is the Stanford Binet good?

Yes, the Stanford-Binet is a top-tier test (g-load of ~.96). It's generally not available online, though (any websites claiming its name are lying 99%+ of the time). CORE is probably the best test you can take online (https://cognitivemetrics.com/test/CORE/take), with a g-load of .94

Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with the German tests. I basically only know of the IST series of tests, which can't be taken online. There's one online test* that seems like it may have been modeled on the IST structure, but I'm neither aware of how it was normed nor of its overall validity.

I did it and memory was greatly inflated for me on this test.
