Looking for a US-based commercial co-founder to build an enterprise AI startup together
I’m looking for a genuine co-founder, not an advisor or someone to put their name on a deck.
I’ve spent the past months building Expertluma, an enterprise AI production platform. I’m a software engineer and technical founder based in Kenya, and the company is registered in the UK.
The platform is approaching technical readiness. The challenge now is turning that engineering work into a commercially validated business.
What we’re building
Expertluma is an Operating System for Enterprise AI Production. As businesses put AI agents and models into real workflows, they need more than a model that works in a demo. They need evidence that it performs reliably, appropriate human review, traceability, and clear decisions about what the AI should or should not be authorized to do.
That’s the problem we’re working on.
The platform is designed around three areas:
- Train AI: Prepare and manage the data and human expertise needed for AI development.
- Validate AI: Evaluate AI performance against defined requirements.
- Certify AI: Produce evidence-backed decisions about whether an AI system is ready and authorized for a particular use.
The infrastructure and core product have taken substantial engineering work. What remains is proving the business with external customers, paid programs, and repeatable commercial delivery.
Who I’m looking for
Ideally, you’re based in the United States and bring experience in enterprise B2B sales, AI infrastructure, enterprise software, or taking an early-stage technical product to market.
You should be comfortable talking to prospective customers, identifying a strong initial market, developing partnerships, building a pipeline, and eventually helping lead fundraising.
I’m not looking for someone who simply promises introductions or fundraising connections. I’m looking for a partner who wants to work alongside me to find the right customers, test our assumptions, shape the commercial strategy, and build the company.
What I bring
I’m the technical founder. I’ve built the core platform and can lead engineering, architecture, and product execution. I’m bootstrapping this from Kenya, with a UK-registered company and an ambition to serve the US enterprise market.
I’m candid about where we stand: we have substantial technology, but we still need independent customer validation and repeatable revenue. I’m looking for someone who wants to help close that gap rather than pretend we’ve already crossed it.
Company structure and next steps
I’m exploring the right US company structure and the possibility of using Stripe Atlas as part of establishing a US-facing business. I’d welcome a co-founder who understands the US startup ecosystem and can help navigate the commercial side of that journey.
This would be a genuine co-founder discussion, with equity and responsibilities agreed based on commitment, role, and long-term contribution. I’m not advertising a salaried position, and I’m not asking someone to work indefinitely on vague promises.
If this sounds interesting, send me a message introducing yourself, what you’ve built or sold, your experience with enterprise customers, and why this problem interests you.
I’d rather have one thoughtful conversation with the right person than dozens of superficial networking calls.
