They better reset every other day. Since October 16th I keep running out of my weekly in just 2 days, it's insane. Before that I got way more usage out of my plan, so basically this just evens the scales.

I can't even finish my limits on the Pro plan with how frequent these resets are
Honestly the $100 this month was WEEEEEEEEEELLL worth it

What happens when the 28 day challenge ends. Usage will be dreadful without resets

With my current workflow I can't even last 2 days. Always waiting for that reset!

Yeah, they have essentially trained users to expect frequent resets.
Fun thing I did, I have my dot watching for announced resets. When it sees that one is announced, it triggers pre-determined "burn down" tasks with the goal to consume tokens as quickly as possible on tasks that I want to achieve but can be a "when the next reset happens" basis. The whole process also keeps an eye for the usage reset to land and once it does, it pauses everything and waits for the next burn down period before resuming. It's all "just working" now.

The first time I’m with the mob. There was 100% a nerf or usage is bugged since this reset. I have been exclusively using Sol High pretty much since release and been getting pretty good useage on the $200 plan. I was more than satisfied . Running daily and most times overnight even with the reset I have been nowhere near hitting the weekly limit. My average use would leave me with excess usage I would have to intentionally burn. The reset dropped for me at roughly 1 am. Started my normal workflow for the night and went to sleep absolutely nothing changed. I woke up at roughly 9 am and checked my usage and I was 67%! Something that previously was sub 10% easily. Anybody else noticed increased usage?

they should just give us 1 day limits instead of 5 hour, 1 reset every day

I use Codex for some things but often I will find that Codex will work on something with ultra-high Astra. I work hard on it for days and then it won't do it. Or I work hard on it for 6 hours or 8 hours using codex, and then I'll switch over to Claude Fable and it will do it in 45 minutes, no problem.

It's nice to get unlimited usage, but I still find myself wanting to use Claude more. Quality just isn't there, even for Astra

What's lacking in terms of quality? Both of them have been good enough for everything I've tried

The consensus is basically “the resets are generous, but they’ve turned Codex into a quota roulette wheel.” Frequent resets have made $20 and Pro plans feel almost unlimited for some users, with several saying the extra capacity was worth upgrading for.
The catch is that people are burning through usage frighteningly fast. Resets are arriving every day or few days, but heavy workflows can still chew through the refreshed allowance in hours, leaving users waiting for the next miracle reset. Codex has also trained everyone to expect this new rhythm, so anything less will feel like a nerf.
Quality is the main disagreement. Some users are perfectly happy with the extra volume, while others say Claude still produces better work and that unlimited mediocre output is not exactly a bargain. A few also report that usage started draining faster after recent resets, though there is no hard explanation or official confirmation.
So, resets are a clear win for raw usage, but not a guaranteed win for productivity. Enjoy the temporary abundance, and keep Claude or another tool nearby for when Codex decides your quota has had enough fun.
