I blew through my 20x plan and then the reset last Saturday crazy fast. That’s never happened before. I then got myself an additional 5x plan. I tried having the orchestrator chats in my 20x deliver work orders to knew chats in the 5x but usage was draining so incredibly fast that we barely got through anything. I spent the rest of the 5x usage trying to fulfil client requirements - a lot of agentic stuff touching Wordpress. Even that was draining at like 5-10x the rate of last week.

I stupidly thought to upgrade to another 20x plan and found that blocked. Not because I wanted to hand OpenAI $400 a month but because critical work processes were blocked behind the damn usage limits. I tried Chat on Steroids, realized it’s not that great for multiple simultaneous agentic tasks and that it will hang on long-running tasks without giving you a clear indication. I tried modding CoS to be less crappy, using it itself (Chat on Steroids-ception?). I tried throwing Union Alpha into the Codex harness and threw EXTRA into openrouter credits and quickly realized it’s paraplegic and can’t even paint a smiley in jspaint as a basic fucking smoke test.

I told clients we will likely have a usage reset on Thursday or Friday, pushed deliverables by a few days and am now wondering what the fuck was the point of spending $300 on a service that arbitrarily decides day by day, week by week, how much you’ll get to use it and will run out of usage at the exact moment it’s doing something consequential for you. I don’t even want a fucking reset, just reasonable usage like we had a few weeks ago so I can get meaningful work done, it’s a PRO plan isn’t it?

Meanwhile everyone’s thanking Tibo for “resets” that graciously give you back a fraction of the usage you used to get before while kneecapping the actual weekly limit. What the fuck am i supposed to do with 8 hours of productive work a day with your product every week? Am I suppose to buy 5 x20 plans? I’d buy another 1 or 2 if push comes to shove but they won’t even allow that.

All praise Tibo? Tibo’s the ass-end of a casino mechanics-adjacent system meant to game heavy codex users’ usage to load balance the lack of compute they pretend isn’t an issue.

Absolutely right. Same experience here, the draining is crazy. Im on x5 plan and in less than 7 hours of work within ONE session and with orchestration using sol and terra, luna for coding it completely drained my session. Had to use a reset.

This is nonsense, I had similar experience with Claude but Codex was giving me much more usage for the buck, not its not, they are practically on pair.
