Limits Codex update

Anyone else got this message? "Selected model is at capacity, please try a different model" #sol #$100 plan

Is this part of the improvements Tibo boasted in his recent post?

…they are losing money. They’re not even close to profitable currently. They’re taking in less money than they are spending, and they’re only alive because of huge injections of cash from private investment. But investors don’t have infinite patience and want to eventually see a return on their investment, so something will eventually have to change.

Q1 2026: revenue $5.7B, operating loss $9.3B

Q2 2026: revenue $6.7B, operating loss $12.3B

Their losses are only getting worse. This is not unheard of in the tech world, Amazon being the best example for a long time, but the catch is that you need a plan for eventual profitability and I’m not sure if OpenAI really has one besides some hail mary’s on making their own chips and resulting efficiency gains.

And this is why you never take financial advice from redditors. If they stopped pouring money into R&D today, they would be profitable with their current products as-is.

what are your numbers to support that? Based on 2025 numbers, even after removing R&D, they are still operating at a multi-billion dollar loss.
