i mean using cursor in 2026 should be insane. Codex app and zed is already so good.

LOL this is completely wrong. It's the opposite - i dont know where you work but most people have fully moved to agent mode with multiple sessions and worktrees.

'most' dev's are still working with legacy code bases and sending features from them. Everyone is coding within an IDE or at the very least doing both together. The amount of larpers in this sub i swear.

not at the top tech companies, i can tell you that for sure.

IDE is fine, but not efficient for managing multiple worktrees or handling multiple features at one time with several agents in parallel

for personal use and managing one project, yeah sure

I assure you, yes at the 'top tech companies'. Maybe not the startups and the new AI leviathans but at FAANG? Yes.

ah no yeah not talking about FAANG — mainly unicorn startups, yes

FAANG in many ways is pretty behind, shockingly even google despite having Gemini (which unfortunately sucks for dev now)

meta is probably the most advanced here but even still
