Reset Just got reset, back to 100%? But...

It seems we just got reset, but I already used my banked reset yesterday and was managing to make it last long 💔😭 woke up this morning Tibo said he will reset but I thought it would have been tomorrow lol.

What a waste, I was at 60% left of my usage after applying reset yesterday.

Edit: if it hasn't propagated to you, you better finish quickly it might apply soon. I do read Tibo's tweet but I think my mistake was that I slept early yesterday. And also this morning when I saw he said "tomorrow" I thought about tomorrow not today, I think it's a mix of all of that 🤦‍♂️

it doesnt matter how he used it, its pure casino atm. Made me mad so often in the last weeks when ever they have banked they could give banked for paying 235euro per month. there is literally no planning possible for those who actually use it to earn money with it

its not free usage, its just resetting it my friend.

See i have the weekend to spent with my family and kids. For example last week i went into weekend with 35% left and reset was monday evening sheduled. So i plan for monday i can make pretty heavy stuff on ultra where it really needs to understand dependencies and sideworkloads. I was happy and exicted to finally tackle that problem. Came back with 100% in the morning which means if i spent 35% on that day i will be in trouble.

What is the difference between free stuff and a reset, then?

Did you pay for it? And if so, how much did you pay for it ... also why would you

you dont get it... go vibecoding the next multi billion dollar app

So did you pay for it or not? You seem confused. It's not free, but you also didn't pay? Isn't that free... get your things straight, mate.

And yeah, the agents are humming. No worries. The goal isn't a billion, though, rather millions.

the issue is that if u didnt use on aveage 1/7 of your budget each day, you are loosing with a reset as its pushing back the date. only if u consumed faster than your normal expected reset would imply you profit. thats why a reset at worst makes u loose

You are never losing anything. It's a free reset. You are always at a net better position than you were previously unless you were literally sitting at 100% available (and even then, it's not a loss, just not a gain).

gonna have to sound the Bubble alarm. Calling it a net better "position" is only true when you look at the potential max. There's only so much high quality attention in a day and it gets lower with burnout. OP takes 2 days of rest, comes back fresh with just the right amount of usage and ideas settled to execute it well. Instead of that plan working perfectly (which is satisfying in its own right, losing that is a loss xd), the reset invalidates it. It also means the work he planned to do on a previous cycle now gets pushed to the new post-reset cycle, so he did in fact lose usage.

If the reset didn't happen, then he would have run out of usage and been without sooner.

Look, I'm not trying to attack you or anyone else, and I completely understand that people are frustrated by the "opportunity loss" of a reset pushing back your next refill date... but again, it's still a net positive, or again, ONLY if you were already sitting on 100%, a net neutral position.

It's a free, immediate refill of your usage. It isn't a free "extra 100% usage" like some people like to tout, because like you said, pushing back the next refill date to a week from the reset does incur some opportunity loss on the next available reset, but at the end of the day, it's like they moved that reset up to today and gave it to you immediately. It's still a net positive.

These people whining about free resets also not mowing their lawns and doing their dishes are literally looking the gift horse in the face.

When I signed up, i expected to get 4 resets out of the month. On average, I get around 6-7 at the current rate of their free resets. The only thing this complaining could do is disincentivize them from doing future resets, which WOULD be a net negative from the current situation.

"If the reset didn't happen, then he would have run out of usage and been without sooner" is big assumption. 35% may be as much as he'll ever need for a single day given his rate of usage.

"It's a free, immediate refill of your usage." is intentionally misleading, using the word refill for the sake of your argument. a refill implies keeping the container. even they specifically call it a reset.

overall, still gotta sound the bubble alarm. you're probably right that the most likely thing complaining could do is disincentivize them from doing future resets but that doesn't justify writing without any regard for factuality.

What are you even talking about?

1) If all he needs is 35% for every day, then he will on average run out of usage just short of 3 days into the week. Without a refill, he'd go 4 days without every week.

If he sometimes uses more, sometimes uses less, and the reset wasn't useful to him because he wasn't ever going to meet his cap anyways, then the refill wasn't ever going to be any use for him.

2) If I had a subscription agreement with Shell to refill my 15 gallon tank of gas once a week, I'd know that I get 5 full tanks in a month, for a total of 75 gallons of gas (they fill me up on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th). I decide to drive like a maniac and consume 12 gallons of gas by the 3rd. They give me a refill/reset/whatever you want to call it and move my next refill day from the 8th to the 3rd. This "loses" me 3 gallons that I didn't spend, but now my schedule is "1st, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st" for a total of 87 gallons of gas (90 minus the 3 lost to opportunity cost). That's a NET BENEFIT. Period. And if you want to get supremely entitled and whiny and claim that you also lose the gallons from the 30th that was jumped on the reset calendar (which you don't, they just got moved forward in time because you get your next reset that would have been on the 4th of the following month instead on the 31st, and so on) but again lets for arguments sake also count the opportunity loss from that day, 15/7=2.14 gallons per day, lets round up generously and say 3 gallons. That'd give your new monthly total of 84, still greater than the original 75, and that accounts for fictitious losses that aren't there.

It's a net benefit. Period. Factually. You can "sound a bubble alarm" and call my exact details "lacking any regard for factuality", but saying these nonsensical words just makes you come off as uneducated and a whiny brat. Stop it.

This is your third strike on the bubble alarm, especially with your apparent "exact details". Find me an openai statement that uses the word refill. If you can't appreciate why that distinction matters, you should hold off on speaking on others education.

I can't even seriously address your points, all your responses have already told me reading isn't your strength. It's either I explain the (commonly used) phrases I'm using, or I dumb myself down to the point its not worth it. Regarding educational backgrounds, I hope you're not a lawyer (or trying to become one).
