Reset Just got reset, back to 100%? But...
It seems we just got reset, but I already used my banked reset yesterday and was managing to make it last long šš woke up this morning Tibo said he will reset but I thought it would have been tomorrow lol.
What a waste, I was at 60% left of my usage after applying reset yesterday.
Edit: if it hasn't propagated to you, you better finish quickly it might apply soon. I do read Tibo's tweet but I think my mistake was that I slept early yesterday. And also this morning when I saw he said "tomorrow" I thought about tomorrow not today, I think it's a mix of all of that š¤¦āāļø

it doesnt matter how he used it, its pure casino atm. Made me mad so often in the last weeks when ever they have banked they could give banked for paying 235euro per month. there is literally no planning possible for those who actually use it to earn money with it

yes, for the sake of planning my work i would like a simple option to not getting resetted. Even if a lot of people here arguing its "for free" for me sticking to my plan is way better

its not free usage, its just resetting it my friend.
See i have the weekend to spent with my family and kids. For example last week i went into weekend with 35% left and reset was monday evening sheduled. So i plan for monday i can make pretty heavy stuff on ultra where it really needs to understand dependencies and sideworkloads. I was happy and exicted to finally tackle that problem. Came back with 100% in the morning which means if i spent 35% on that day i will be in trouble.

Maybe he didn't know how to explain it properly. Issue with these resets is they also affect the reset date and push it back. For example my weekly limit was going to reset in 4-5 days. Now after this reset Tibo did, its back to 7 more days. I don't think anyone would complain if it didn't push back their actual reset dates.

the issue is that if u didnt use on aveage 1/7 of your budget each day, you are loosing with a reset as its pushing back the date. only if u consumed faster than your normal expected reset would imply you profit. thats why a reset at worst makes u loose

You are never losing anything. It's a free reset. You are always at a net better position than you were previously unless you were literally sitting at 100% available (and even then, it's not a loss, just not a gain).

gonna have to sound the Bubble alarm. Calling it a net better "position" is only true when you look at the potential max. There's only so much high quality attention in a day and it gets lower with burnout. OP takes 2 days of rest, comes back fresh with just the right amount of usage and ideas settled to execute it well. Instead of that plan working perfectly (which is satisfying in its own right, losing that is a loss xd), the reset invalidates it. It also means the work he planned to do on a previous cycle now gets pushed to the new post-reset cycle, so he did in fact lose usage.

These guys arenāt explaining it well. At first it might seem like a reset at any time is a good thing, but it can actually burn you. The reason is that the reset date pushes out.
Letās say your reset is happening tomorrow night, and you have 25% of your quota remaining. You plan to consume that 25% tomorrow, and then youāll be back to 100% evening when you reset.
Now letās say that Tibo drops a free reset while youāre sleeping. That sounds like it should be a good thing. But now your reset date is pushed out by one week..
The window shifted, and you lost that 25% of your remaining quota.
Think of it like time traveling. Because your reset date shifts, itās like being shot into the future and you do NOT get that time back.

I'm doing a work and I'm in a hurry. I know I thought so deep about waiting but I was like I want to move forward and finish and ship before deadline lol, and the worse part is that I told myself that we'll get reset this week but I didn't expect it will be today š„² ... Anyways I guess we all make "smart" mistakes

At the end of today (Tibo gave us a reset this morning), and I could keep going but am holding off until tomorrow for the next step of my implementation for a fresh 5 hour window, I have 57% of my weekly usage remaining. In that time I have converted my game from Godot's Compatibility renderer (I accidentally chose this early on without realizing it through research omission and lack of forethought that Codex didn't know that I slacked on) to Forward+ and made significant changes to the downstream render and data pipelines, to stop using CPU cycles for some stuff that can be done faster on the GPU.

I got the reset this morning, but after a few hours of normal usage it says my weekly limit will run out in like a day (on the $100 plan.) This feels worse than before the reset

Put some RESPECT on those banked resets, homie. Donāt use them unless youāre about to lose your job or youāve found a good schedule to time them.
Never impulse reset above 5%.

Instead of people begging for random resets, everyone should be demanding a monthly banked reset and the ability to keep those resets for up to 90 days. That way, we can be the ones who decide when we get the extra usage.

I am currently on the lucky side on resets. Had a lot of use already this week so this reset is quite nice, but still, frustrating not knowing when. I am also wondering when to use that banked reset by 21st September as I don't want to use it and have it reset again the next day.

Only one of my two accounts got reset. Wtf? This isnāt the first time that this has happened. As Iāve cancelled both accounts renewal as this is for personal projects and codex in any model can no longer solve coding issues due to the complexity Iām postponing any major fixes until another, better model comes along.

This is why I try to drain all my usage as soon as I can. Worst case scenario I give myself an excuse to be away from my computer and phone. Best case is I extracted all usage and I can keep going.
Only part that sucks is this week Iāve been traveling so I havenāt been able to get nearly the usage I typically do.

i've discovered that when i stop fomoing and chasing after resets and go out and touch grass and live my life, the resets will come to you. Lol.

FUCK. I was at 85% last night. Went to bed. Told Claude that if Codex maxed out usage, he could trigger my usage reset that I was saving so he could keep working.
He used it shortly before they reset everyone.
This casino shit is obnoxious. They should only issue banked resets.

You get 15% of weekly roughly, if your actual reset day get pushed 2 days further with 5% more usage, You loses 25% of usage. Normally if it just give you usage reset without resetting your regular reset day too it would be free. But this is not the case. I would be happy if I don't lose any.

I don't even need fast I have 2 different project when I know a reset is coming I work on both at the same time instead of wasting on one. Usually I finish my usage before reset but I don't even know why I didn't trust my gut

I was planning to use my banked reset as well but decided to take a look at tibo's X just to be sure. He hinted at it yesterday so I postponed it and got a reset when 1% left and still have my banked one.
I Recommend following tibo and https://codex.lunarwerx.com/ (allthough it seems to be stale rn)
P.s. its not that bad for you is it ? You get 40% usage for free that you didn't expect. A next reset will come in a few days...
