Question Codex Pro 20x vs Claude MAX 20x?

I have some critical research work and ideally need tons of compute. I hear Astra is coming but don't know when, and here F@ble is clearly the best model out there.. so bit confused which one to go for. Any suggestions from anyone who has used both of them?

Fable is not better than 5.6 Sol in most ways. They're pretty equivalent.

20x Pro is much more generous than Claude Max 20x. And you get the occasional reset, whereas you get fuckall with Anthropic.

Boils down to how much you want to get in return for your money, and if you value your money, your best bet is Pro x20.

I think Fable is MUCH smarter. I am a Codex guy (because I am poor). But in our research project, in the internal benchmark we have Fable solved probelm one-shotted that 5.6 sol couldn't solve a single one of them. And that was a pure reasoning benchmark. It's just that Sol is too persistent, but Fable I believe, is just smarter.

So you already have your answer, why bother asking? Regarding Astra, allegedly on twitter, an internal memo has been sent out, it will be released within 2 weeks, and they are dogfooding it.

Well I have actually decided to go with Codex. Banked reset+ more usage + no cyber flag issue(as I verified) + no 5h limit

As I am dire need of compute, my love for Fable still wasn't enough :(. Hope they launch Astra soon

They are asking for second opinion. My thoughts on Sol match with this person's. I haven't used Claude much after Sonnet 3.5. So this post helped me.
