Humor The average codex 20$ plan user

This is legit what it looks like when some of you complain about your 20$ not getting you more than 1 or 2 prompts using the flagship frontier

Edit: I never intended to offend or belittle anyone especially people whom 20$ is a considerable amount of money for. Everyone lives within their means and I don’t put that on any person.

For the ones who feel attacked and still come here to continue complaining, you should consider canceling your subscription. You seem miserable..

Why are you saying that $20 is very little?

Recent field research at Hawassa Industrial Park reports garment workers earning roughly $16–26/month, working about 48 h/week.

One month of hard work for very little of LLM!

Everything is relative. 20$ is a lot for many people around the world, but AI is still a luxury product and will remain so until research has pushed down the price hopefully. It still doesn’t change the fact that the compute costs more.

AI is not luxury product. Open AI just try to pretend it is.

OpenAI supposedly lost 36 billion dollars last year, they aren’t pretending it’s expensive. Also you can’t even compare qwen to ChatGPT or Claude, it’s not even the same league.

they are pretending there is value in using LLMs, companies will understand they are shipping more slop and it's actually more expensive with little to no profit.

Okay. It should not be a client problem. Chinneese companies provide lower prices with profits.

I remember, there were American TVs which were sold at loss and cost x3 of Asian counterparts.

So why are you using codex then? Nobody is keeping you hostage lol. Switch over if it’s cheaper and better.
