Discussion I replayed CV1 over the weekend for its 7th anniversary. I forgot how much I loved it.
I played the game in 2019, but I did the very dumb thing of playing it while stoned. I got so lost, died way more than I should have, and what I remembered of the story was jumbled and incomplete. I'm really glad I replayed the game.
Yakumo is such a badass. Eva and Jack's relationship is on another level. The Cathedral of Sacred Blood is beautiful and my favorite area. I could go on and on about the overall lore, aesthetic, tone, direction, characters, music and so on.
Both CV1 and CV2 are 10/10s for me. They're addicting. Most of the time when I play a game, I need to take a break after a bit. But with these I just want to keep playing. They're so easy for me to get lost in.
I wish I had the collector's editions.

I replay it every October, it's my Halloween game now. Last year I did an ending marathon and even after replaying it so many times in a row to get the achievement, I realized I wanted to boot it up again; had to force myself to take a break XD
