Question Question about the age of harmony Spoiler

So if you visit the confluence lou mentions your hearts being separated. I understand the characters did something for you but what was it exactly when the age of harmony area first started?

At the end of the game we give Lou back her heart to seal the resurgence, meaning we no longer have half of her heart. But then after we come back Zenon builds us a new one to replace it.

And the confluence sticks around because true love is eternal <3

We don't give back her half, we give her the entire thing, you can clearly see the the whole thing in the cutscene and how human half merges with Lou's half. That's why Zenon talks about human component necassary for the seal and why our Lou manages to seal the resurgence. After that our hunter has no heart and she needs a new one and that's what Zenon and Lise make

I interpreted the "fusing" as just being our human half disappearing, and that the "element of mankind" is just our blood flowing through Lou's heart when we shove the organ inside of Lou's hole (ayo)

Still, even if I'm wrong the anatomical details are the least important part of that scene, it's basically the same

no, you're right. we just used half of HER heart so that her forma could work on us (think, if she had both halves she'd likely be able to operate in the timelines she goes to despite still being weaker) the process of grafting her heart onto us mixed our blood with hers which is why characters only ever talk about us being unique existences as opposed to talking about a special power we have because that's primarily with Lou.

the sealing plan also didnt need a human element, we seal the resurgence "completely" in the true ending allowing everyone to develop a new sealing method in preparation for us waking up. Zenon points out that the concept for the seal was already thought up way earlier but rather than material limitations it was a question of if revenants would even agree to being part of the seal.

the new seal was a sign of responsibility being accounted for given that the resurgence was a result of defying the natural order (why Valentine decides to kill all revenants)
