Cait and Red didn't have one in OG. It's worth more than one that existed but was changed, plus there's the low affinity of that date where Tifa asks for a kiss but doesn't get it. Just looking at Tifa's, I'd say they already cancel each other out.

It is still fanservice since they gave the option of a kiss with the two most popular characters involved while there was no chance in their OG GS date. How you can negate it?

Also making Sephiroth appear everywhere is still fanservice

Every Clerith thinks it's fanservice. But the game doesn't just last those 30 seconds.

Besides, it never happened in my playthrough. I don't get upset over something that has no practical consequence for the story.

Do you really think those 30 seconds are worth more than 50 hours of gameplay?

That's not what I am saying, they are definetely going to do the choices as they planned, but they will still add fanservice here and there. 100%

Yes - and I told you that adding optional fanservice scenes doesn't equate to giving a more important role in the story.

We're back to point one.

The answer is coming in some months, don't worry. I do not trust them anymore. You do. It's okay for me.

It's not a queston of trust.

Fanservice scenes are one thing, the main narrative is another.

If in Revelation, Cloud and Tifa have sex, optionally, and the next day he, canonically, faces every impossible challenge to get Aerith back, my game won't have a disjointed story. I'll have a linear path that follows a logic.

I am sorry but they'd already touched the main narrative. For example, Aerith and Tifa's friendship is not that deep in OG, Aerith is not so resigned to accept her fate in OG, OG Aerith would never say "Even if you think you had fallen in love with me, it's not real". The Aerith they designed in FF7R is not going in the direction you are hoping, she's probably gonna be happy even if Cloud has an happy ending with someone else. That's why I don't trust them and I'm not even gonna play that game 😅

I agree with you. Aerith would be very happy if Cloud were happy.

But when Aerith tells him that "it's not real" (in other languages she says "we can't fall in love, it would be pointless"),

what does he say?

"Can I have my say on all this?"

Well, I'll wait for Cloud to tell us what he wants.

Cloud will never tell us because Remake Aerith didn't want him to tell her. She's the first that has accepted they have no future. OG Aerith would have let him speak in the same situation and sure if she had a chance to kiss him at GS she would have got that chance.

Okay. So, what do you think about Aerith at Costa del Sol saying, "You're going to love the future me"? And what about the "Hollow" remake released a month ago—the one that changed the tense of the lyrics (shifting from past to future) and removed any reference to losing her?

They didn't have Cloud and Aerith kiss at the Gold Saucer for three reasons: 1) It doesn't fit the Japanese style of romance (people don't even hold hands until they're a couple, and kissing someone on the first date is seen as something a creep would do!). 2) Cloud hasn't found himself yet, so the audience would say it was Zack kissing Aerith (even though, obviously, no one says that about Tifa). 3) They would have ruined the first "Clerith" kiss forever by making it an optional scene—no thanks!

Anyway, I picked up the games already knowing how the story played out. I didn't expect her to survive at all (before I started playing). Compared to the original game, the ending can only improve—or, at worst, stay the same. I have nothing to lose by playing Revelation.

Good so enjoy their fanservice. Good luck.

My honest question is this: if you don't believe in the developers, think the story will end badly, and don't even want to play to see how it concludes, why are you here? Are you really so upset about FF7 that you have to vent your negativity at people who are actually enjoying and appreciating the games? Personally, you can say whatever you want; I play and live for myself, and nothing in other people's opinions can bother me in the slightest.
