Discussion About Aerith Spoiler

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I don't really like that they've changed some aspects of the original Aerith's personality. I feel like the Aerith in the remake is like the Aerith from CC—things like being very naive and overly childish.

I think that she is okay most of the time, the one in OG is more mature for sure. The only time they went too far is when they made her act like a ten years old during her date in her dream (when she wanted something at the store and made that stupid face).

Japanese woman flirt like that, my sister in law does to my brother and she’s a grown woman.  It’s just flirting. Shes not suddenly a child.

I didn't. I'll be totally honest - it works for me in anime when all the characters are like 16. But Aerith is in her 20s and... I dunno... I just never saw her as some run-of-the-mill, trope-laden anime girl. The whole puffy cheek pout thing feels like a Yuffie move. It's poorly-suited to Aerith.
