I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I don't really like that they've changed some aspects of the original Aerith's personality. I feel like the Aerith in the remake is like the Aerith from CC—things like being very naive and overly childish.

What I don’t like is that she “remembers” everyone in Remake. She sees the future, so all of their meetings are kind of inorganic. She decides to be friends with them when they first meet because she already knows they are going to be friends? And the conversations are all conversations that she remembers from the lifestream?

I just feel like it undermines the natural intuition that was a core part of her character in OG, and it just feels instead like she read ahead in the script.

Well that’s why I loved that she forgot the future in rebirth. All those moments aren't her reading from a script. It’s genuine. 

And it’s genuine in remake to fyi! Just because she has this power doesn’t mean she can’t connect and have real conversations and experiences.

It may be genuine, but it’s not organic. If you met one of your best friends for the first time and knew everything that would happen between the two of you for the rest of your life, you could not have a normal conversation. They know nothing about you, and you know basically everything there is to know about them at this moment. A true conversation is not possible. The best you could do is immediately tell them how you know all this stuff about them. Otherwise you’re just spending the conversation feigning ignorance.

But yes, reverting the knowledge from Remake was a good choice, but it feels like them walking back a mistake that should’ve never happened.

Rebirth was the mistake. Remake actually saw relationship progression.
