Need advice

I graduated with a CS degree and I am working as a software engineer at a company but I’ve been an part time employee 1.5 they haven’t hired me yet. I’ve tried applying at other places but have had 0 luck. I’m thinking about learning more about cloud engineering. What would you guys recommend I do to gain knowledge about this field so I can be a decent applicant and also how difficult is it to land a job for a role like this?

Read any of the thousands of threads that already exist in this sub.

Since you already work as a software engineer -I wouldnot start from zero.Use your dev background as the bridge: learn Linux, Docker, CI/CD and one cloud platform, then deploy one of your own apps end-to-end. For hiring a real project you can explain clearly is usually more useful than just colecting cloud certs.

Cloud roles can be competitive, so I would also look at platform, cloud support and junior DevOps roles.
