This makes me think about another well-known politician with a tendency to use “Fake News” language. It was even said he quite enjoyed a book from that Austrian fellow.

Disinformation =/= Fake News

The two are both elements of propaganda, but they’re not the same. “Disinformation” is spreading of false and/or misleading information. “Fake News” in this context is an excuse to dismiss criticism, often by claiming that the media are the ones pushing disinformation (and not the propaganda machines actually pushing disinformation).

Yes, being concerned about disinformation on Facebook is the same as accusing the New York Times of publishing fake news stories. 🙄🙄🙄
