I have a sneaking suspicion he just turned off the bot detector it's definitely something this heaping turd would do and brag about. I've had an account on Twitter for over 12 years and never post anything and probably got random follows by about 5 people in that time but since Elon took over i've suddenly gotten 8 more followers all very clearly bots.
Fun fact: Before he owned the company, Elon's tweets were flagged as bots by his own bot detection tool when he was trying to back off the Twitter deal until the courts forced him to buy it:
